This Year’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies To Work For In Metropolitan Detroit Announced By Michigan Business & Professional Association

 

Aug. 15, 2012, Warren, Mich. — Hundreds of competing companies throughout theMetropolitan Detroit region vie for a 101 best and brightest designation, but only companies with thehighest quality human resources initiatives can be named “Metropolitan Detroit’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.”

These select 101 companies will be honored by theMichigan Business and Professional Association (MBPA) on Thursday, September 27 atthe Henry Hotel located at 300 Town Center Drive in Dearborn.

An independent research firm evaluates each company’s entry based on key measures in various categories.  They include Compensation, Benefits and Employee Solutions; Employee Enrichment, Engagement and Retention; Employee Education and Development; Recruitment, Selection and Orientation; Employee Achievement and Recognition; Communication and Shared Vision; Diversity and Inclusion; Work-Life Balance; Community Initiatives; Strategic Company Performance and the Best of the Best Small Business. The winning 101 companies also compete for 11 elite awards, one granted for each category. Also, an overall winner that has excelled in all categories will be honored with a “Best of the Best Overall” award. The elite award winners will be revealed during the luncheon.

The annual human resources symposium and awards program will begin with registration, networking and an exhibit gallery at 7:30 a.m. Educational workshops will follow at 8:30 a.m. The topics of this year’s sessions will include “Building Your Team to Support Your Corporate Culture,” “Bridging The Talent Gap: Considerations and Solutions,” “Engaging the Cross Generational Workforce” and “Building the Bridge to Success: How HR and Marketing can Dance Together to Enhance Brand and Win Talent.” The keynote address by Lance Richards of Kelly Services, luncheon and awards ceremony begins at 11 a.m.

 

“This year’s honorees have clearly demonstrated why each ofthem would be an ideal place for employees to work. Companies that capitalize ontheir greatest resource—their employees—know how to attract and retain top talent,” saidJennifer Kluge, MBPA president. “The selection, recognition and awarding of this year’s 101 companies allows our organization to showcasetheir best practices and we are proud to offer them a venue to do this.”
