Receiving a call to Capitol Hill for leadership recognition is both gratifying and surreal and we are still taking it all in. On December 11, 2025, that moment became reality when Eric Hardy was honored during an awards ceremony hosted by Global Eye Magazine, as w3r Consulting received the Corporation of the Year Award.
At the event on Capitol Hill, Congressman Jonathan L. Jackson, representing the 1st District of Illinois, made this proclamation about Eric and w3r Consulting:
“I rise today to recognize Eric Hardy, President and CEO of w3r Consulting, for his ongoing contributions to the future of healthcare systems in the United States. For decades, Mr. Hardy and w3r have been vital partners to the healthcare industry, building the digital framework leaders can use to improve care outcomes for people in communities across our great nation.
In learning more about w3r, I have been inspired by their adaptability and perseverance across economic cycles and evolving technology, as well as their commitment to helping everyday Americans thrive.
The outstanding contributions this year alone are a culmination of decades of work to promote equality in healthcare and expand opportunities for all.
As of today, w3r Consulting partners with fourteen healthcare providers and seven payors nationally through direct business solutions, board membership, and charitable contributions. Looking at their activities, you get a sense that Eric Hardy and w3r prioritize the wellbeing of their communities just as much as they do the prosperity of their customers.
As a trustee of Henry Ford Health System, Eric has been part of its impressive recent growth. His expertise in the healthcare space contributed to the acquisition of Ascension Health, tripling Henry Ford’s operational capacity in the state of Michigan. In fact, his experience with operational strategy and oversight has helped integrate critical software that keeps patient care efficient and secure.
I’ve also been impressed with his involvement, alongside other trustees, in the Henry Ford Health System Grand project, a $2.2 billion transformational hospital that will be the largest building outside of downtown Detroit. More than a construction milestone, this facility will deliver revolutionary care that puts the health and wellbeing of Michigan communities front and center.
Purpose-driven growth is what Eric Hardy and w3r do best.
Earlier this year, Eric hosted a summit between Rochester Institute and Microsoft to explore the impact of artificial intelligence on higher education. These conversations are critical steps in creating a human-centric approach to AI, threading the needle as colleges and universities nationwide embrace this once-in-a-generation innovation.
As a leader at w3r Consulting, Eric has driven the expansion of development centers that give American companies an affordable way to put AI to work, helping them stay competitive, protect their bottom lines, and keep investing right here in the United States.
At a time of real economic headwinds, this strategy delivers the flexibility and scale businesses need while supporting the strength of America’s workforce.
Eric Hardy also recognizes that developing a better future requires action today. I’ve seen his and w3r Consulting’s contributions to community initiatives and programs that benefit the health, development, and wellbeing of children, families, and communities.
That story I mentioned about HFHS acquiring Ascension Health? Eric and the w3r Consulting team were simultaneously helping raise over $20,000 for local elementary schools as part of weeklong celebrations for the birthday of my godfather, the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Over the last 10 years, they have delivered more than $250,000 in scholarships to resilient students eager to earn a STEM education and build generational wealth for their families.
In closing, I would like to express my deepest admiration for Eric Hardy and the contributions he and w3r Consulting have made to our healthcare systems and the communities they serve. His diligence in a dynamic world is an inspiration, as well as a model for how other enterprise leaders can rise to the occasion and fuel a better tomorrow.”
In addition to Congressman Jackson, five other congressional leaders, including Shri Thanedar, Ph.D. of Michigan and Danny Davis of Illinois, recognized the service and excellence of 20 changemakers from across the professional and public sectors, including one remarkable young student still in elementary school.
The honors included official Congressional Proclamations, Congressional Medals, and achievement awards.
These recognitions underscore what is possible when people commit themselves to building a stronger, more equitable world. We are deeply honored that Eric Hardy and w3r Consulting were included among such inspiring leaders, and we are genuinely impressed by the accomplishments of every recipient.
We proudly carry forward the call shared at the close of the ceremony: to celebrate togetherness by strengthening community partnerships and amplifying diverse voices, all in service of a more united and inspired America.
