As one of the largest organizations in Detroit, The Children’s Center helps over 9,000 children and families each year to heal, grow, and thrive. This organization provides essential services to vulnerable members of the community trying to overcome trauma or struggling with behavioral, emotional, educational, intellectual, or developmental challenges. The Children’s Center provides services that include but are not limited to:

  • Early childhood behavioral development
  • Parent education
  • ADHD management
  • Developmental disabilities services
  • Behavioral development services
  • Crisis care

With the added strain created by COVID-19 and other challenges, the work done by The Children’s Center is an essential part of our social safety net. More than ever, their programs and services require the contributions of dedicated members of the local community.

For over 12 years, there has been a strong connection between the w3r Consulting team and The Children’s Center. David Reich, VP – Delivery & Strategy Development at w3r Consulting, is an Executive Board Member of the Children’s Center as well as Co-Chair of the Sustainable Funding Committee that organizes the annual breakfast event.

Through his work as a Board Member, he has helped provide strategic guidance, enhancing the reach and resilience of The Children’s Center. Additionally, other members of the w3r Consulting team have contributed through volunteering and fundraising events, keeping this Detroit hallmark dynamic and successful.

The Children’s Center has drawn prominent Detroit businesses ranging from Comerica Bank to the Ford Motor Company to their cause. Thanks to the continued generosity of corporate donors, the non-profit is able to provide a wide range of programs to thousands of families.

“Detroit is a better and stronger community thanks to the work of The Children’s Center and the charitability of our community partners. However, there is more work to be done,” said David Reich. “The 2020 Power of Possibilities Virtual Breakfast is a fantastic way for new supporters or long-time donors to learn about the transformative efforts of this homegrown non-profit and how it is shaping Detroit’s young people into productive citizens of the future.”
