2022 in Review: How w3r Gives Back to Our People and the Community

This year is off to an exciting start. With new business and challenges on the horizon, our team hit the ground running to help organizations unlock the power of leading-edge technology and professionals connect with satisfying job opportunities.

Yet before we leap into a full sprint, we wanted to take a moment to share our gratitude. Last year, we had numerous opportunities to make an impact on the business world as well as in the lives of our people and our community members. Here’s how we closed the chapter on 2022.

Another Memorable Year

On December 3rd, we renewed a tradition that has long been a hit with the w3r Consulting team: The annual holiday party at the Shinola Hotel in Detroit. Our people and their families, dressed to the nines, gathered yet again for a night of celebration, appreciation, great food, fun, and memories. Whether catching up over a few drinks or celebrating as the U of M Wolverines pummeled the Boilermakers, the night was a blast.

As always, our leaders took time to give thanks for a year of hard work and achievement. Eric Hardy, President and CEO at w3r Consulting, took a moment to address everyone, thanking not only our employees for their discipline, integrity, and innovative spirit but also their families for supporting and strengthening our people to be their best.

“People who have attended this event for years as well as fresh faces felt the appreciation of Eric, Pat, Keith, and other members of the leadership team,” said Stephen Emsley, Technology and Security Director at w3r Consulting. “The real human connections in moments like these can’t be overlooked. It shows that w3r walks the walk when it comes to treating our team with respect and admiration.”

“As a member of the w3r team for ten years and counting, I’ve had a chance to see how the company stands by our people and rewards our hard work,” said Jennifer Higdon, Sales Support Manager at w3r Consulting. “Not enough can be said about how w3r gives back to the people, organizations, and communities that have supported its decades of success.”

Sharing Our Goodwill in the Community

In the spirit of the holiday season, we made our annual visit to The Children’s Center of Detroit, volunteering our time to provide struggling families with some much-needed holiday cheer. Each year, The Children’s Center Holiday Shop serves 1,500 children by sharing brand new, wrapped gifts they can take home and place under the tree with care.

The w3r Consulting team brought energy to their roles as holiday elves, guiding and assisting the parents of these children through the holiday shopping at the Center. We also helped behind the scenes, stocking the shelves, organizing the shop rooms, and packing up the selected items for families in need.

“Our people are enthusiastic about sharing our good fortune and helping children who are struggling to overcome mental, behavioral, and economic challenges to know they are remembered and cherished,” said David Reich, VP Strategy & Business Development. “All of this is possible because of the generosity and commitment of those who make The Children’s Center a reality.”

This final event capped off a year of engagement, whether standing tall to support leukemia treatment during the Light the Night ceremony or distributing food through Gleaner’s Food Bank. You can find a complete list of our community activities on our Facebook account.

The Year Ahead

In addition to giving back to our employees and the Detroit community, the w3r team has been hard at work preparing for the challenges and chances for success in the coming year.

Exciting news is on the horizon, along with ever-expanding ways for our team to help organizations, professionals, and our communities reach their peak potential. We want to thank everyone who has made our success possible thus far and look forward to where new roads will take us during 2023.
